Cure for the common homesickness

I'm not sure if I can pack anything that is a "cure" for homesickness, but I am definitely trying to find things to pack that will help me cope with the distance. I am failing miserably.

Things that I am assuming will be missed once I am in Korea (not in any significant order):

  • family
  • friends
  • steak (since I hear that red meat is rare and expensive)
  • my guitars (I'm not sure if I will be able to bring it on the plane)
  • being in a reasonable similar time zone
  • mexican food
  • my car
  • TEXAS FOOTBALL (it gets caps, just deal)
  • IM football
While I'm at it, here is a list of things that I am looking forward too about Korea:
  • Authentic Korean food
  • Cheap Korean food
  • Buying a pair of glasses
  • Buying a nice coat
  • Taking pictures
  • Making new friends
  • Getting a clean slate
  • Teaching little kids
  • Improving my Korean
  • Running
  • Hiking
  • Learning more about myself, in the context of a new country
I'm making this list, so that as I look back, I will see what I really did miss, if I missed anything at all, and if the things that I looked forward too were really worthwhile. I just printed my itinerary, and am getting more and more antsy about this whole thing. I'm leaving in 2days:23hours:48min. Insane.
