Boy meets ____________

This is a story of boy meets country.

The boy, Jeremy Roh, always knew that one day he would have to face his fears and experience what the world had to offer, but the numerous encounters with other countries for short two weeks vacations and mission trips had sufficed up to this point, quenching the thirst for experiencing something new. Now was the time that he was going to experience a new country, not as a tourist, but as a resident.

The country, South Korea, had not been waiting for Jeremy. In fact, Korea, had been doing just fine without Jeremy.

Jeremy had gone to see his counselor at the University of Texas and was pleasantly surprised to find that it would be very simple for him to finish his college career a semester early. Excited as he was, Jeremy talked to his roommate Tae, who eventually led him to TaLK, a Korean Government sponsered English teaching program. Jeremy subsequently applied with his friend Grace, and three months later, was accepted.

Jeremy had no idea what to expect of Korea. He had heard stories from close friends, from friend of friends, from family members, of what Korea would be like, but Jeremy would have to find out what Korea was like on his own. He would first have to find a way to communicate with Korea.

This is a story of boy meets country, but I am not able to tell you if this will end as a love story, I suppose you will have to wait and see how it unfolds.

Let the story unfold before your own eyes.
